Our services span transmission, distribution, substations, renewable energy integration, and infrastructure upgrades.   Position Summary USEC is seeking a Project Scheduler experienced with Primavera P6 to support capital infrastructure and maintenance projects within the utility sector. The Scheduler will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining integrated project schedules across a diverse portfolio of electric utility projects. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, and cost control analysts to ensure accurate forecasting, critical path visibility, and timely project delivery.   Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6 for capital projects, maintenance programs, and multi-discipline initiatives.
  • Work with project managers and engineering teams to define project scope, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and communicate key schedule risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Provide schedule performance reporting, including variance analysis, float analysis, and earned value tracking.
  • Support integrated project planning by coordinating with cost control, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings and updates with cross-functional project teams and client representatives.
  • Ensure alignment with USEC and client project controls standards, including WBS structures and coding.
  • Interface with utility clients, ensuring scheduling deliverables meet or exceed utility-specific reporting requirements and timelines.
  Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ of experience in project scheduling, with emphasis on electric utility, power generation, transmission, or infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 required; experience with schedule integration and resource loading preferred.
  • Working knowledge of project cost controls and performance metrics (e.g., CPI, SPI, Earned Value).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret project data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Experience working within or alongside utility organizations such as Ameren, Exelon, Entergy, or similar, strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau a plus).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.

Job Description: We are looking for Project Managers to manage Transmission, Distribution and Substation Projects. The Project Manager will manage, direct and coordinate all aspects of work related to greenfield and brownfield projects for the construction of high voltage transmission lines, distribution lines and substations. The Project Manager will report directly to the Program Manager and is responsible for the successful completion of projects within budget, specified dates, and establishing and maintaining a professional and satisfactory relationship with the Owner, subcontractors and regulatory agencies. Major responsibilities for the Project Manager will include: Prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations. Provide overall management of projects from concept to completion including planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, bid phase services, procurement, constructability reviews, material management, construction management, and closeout. Help develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs. Assist with internal project financials, staffing, risk management, and change management. Serve as primary point of contact with client regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, scope management, budget finances, subcontracting, project and schedule attainment. Manage all aspects of project communication Work closely with the Project Team to ensure deliverables and services are being provided to the client’s satisfaction and the projects follow QA/QC guidelines. Report regularly on progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues that may impact project completion. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited curriculum. Minimum of 5 years of project experience with at least 2 years related project management experience. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel. Valid driver's license required.
